Anne M. Estes, PhD

Baltimore, MD

Anne M. Estes, PhD is an Associate Professor at Towson University, where she studies the microbes living in dung beetles and is overly excited to teach General Microbiology. Perhaps due to the thick eyeglasses she’s worn since 2nd grade, Anne has always been obsessed with microscopic organisms. She started Mostly Microbes as a reputable, scientific voice in the discussion about human microbiome research to help distinguish research findings from hype. The blog also is Anne’s outlet for teaching everyone about the marvelous world of microbes. Read more about Anne, contact her, or join the MostlyMicrobes community on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.
