I am a man. A son. A brother. A husband and father. A pastor and teacher, tekton, fly fisher, guitar player, sometime adventurer. And over in and through it all, a follower of Jesus, Yeshua - Christ, Mashiach. I love words and believe Scripture is full of words; words more alive and active than we can fathom for their full depth; words that reveal the Grand Narrative of God. All of it. The Tanakh, the Gospels and Acts of the Apostles, the Letters, the Revelation. I believe these are God's self-revealing words bearing His heart, character, and will for the whole cosmos; his passion, attributes and purposes for even the least, including me... and you. Words that enfold and infuse - give life to our own stories. I believe we are woven into God's Story and that our lives were made for The Story to be woven over, in, with and through our lives. If that's true, then the words of The Story, words that reveal the passion, attributes, and purposes of God are most (most!) important! I want to discover and wrestle with, and pour over and into the words for The Word. Meet "The Word" in the words. That I might better understand The Story and know more fully the Story Teller. The words for The Word. To hear (Shema) more deeply. Wrap my life around (Shamar) more fully. And participate in the wholeness (Shalom) of The Story more completely. Over. In. With. Through. Wholeheartedly - Lev Shalem. B'Lev Shalem with a whole heart!
