I am a community ecologist at Saint Michael's College in Colchester Vermont USA. While I specialize in freshwater communities, as a professor in a small liberal arts college, I have the freedom to work "outside my lane". I have taken deep dives into projects on skull morphology, urban wildlife, use of wikis in education, and my current passion: nature writing. Nature writing has opened windows into diverse parts of the natural world and connected me with a wonderful community of natural historians in Vermont and elsewhere.
