I was born in Toronto, Canada and am proud of being born in the 70s. I have always been an adventure seeker as a child, growing up spending summers canoeing, kayaking and sailing in Haliburton (in Muskoka) with my parents, brother and their various Scout groups. I ignored the high school career test I took at 18 to have a career in the travel and tourism industry and close enough, graduated with a degree in English and Geography from the University of Toronto. I got a post grad certificate in Human Resources and worked in the consulting and financial world until I realized I wanted to explore the world. In 2006, I took a 3 three month trip across Europe on my own, which inspired me to change my career. 10 years later, I listened to my instinct and became a travel agent. So far, I have been to 15 countries. In 2008, I wrote a city guide on Toronto for BlackBook Magazine, reviewing over 200 restaurants, bars and hotels. I am now writing and blogging about my experiences and dreams of travel. I hope to write for your publication too!
